This fall is to Rise

"Let your life lightly dance on the edges of time like dew on the tip of a leaf."-Rabindranath Tagore

Beauty has lot to do with character:

The beautiful fall colors have come. A tree with yellow, red and green color leaves is such a delight to behold. The beauty lies in its resemblance to the inevitable events of life. The branches are stripped off from their covers –revealing the naked truth of life. Eventually, the tree stands still, helpless and bare shivering in the day-by-day worsening cold weather. Withstanding the chill with perseverance and commitment to its cause; anticipating the spring. Before rejuvenation the old has to be replaced with new: I dare say there is no escape even for the creator!

"Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it"- Confucius

The tree starts to introspect the time when it was laden with fruits, flowers and tender offshoots. On one beautiful morning, a chirping bird that is nested on one of its branches started singing melodiously. He (The tree) got goose bumps and started shredding a few dead leaves -swinging to the tune .Every day the tree eagerly waits for the chirping of the bird, sways in style with resonance and finally, falls in love with her.

Whenever the bird perches on a branch or punches a hole in the birch, the tree gets butterflies in its stomach. But he always offers fruits and leaflets to her with affection and love. To her surprise, on a sparkling full moon night, he speaks in ringing voice, “Oh honey! Make thy shoulder your nest and thy heart yours. Love is a sweet friendship setup on music!” The bird smiles, flutters her wings conceiving to the idea and flies around his trunk as a creeper does, spreading her warmth and lovely aura. The tree holds her in his arms as she naps in the nest for the rest of the night.

"The pursuit of truth and beauty is a sphere of activity in which we are permitted to remain children all our lives."- Albert Einstein

In the early morning fog, the bird flew long and hard towards a nearby mountain seeking a rock crevice as haven for the harsh winter. While coming back, she meets her flock and flies in circles joyfully. Suddenly, she realizes that she lost her way. Staying on the mountain, she thinks about her newly found friend the rest of the day. She pecks on red little berries in the nearby bushes and survives the deadly chill. But how can she bear the pangs of separation!

Dragging one's feet :

As the day passed, the bird could no more distinguish him from what appeared to be countless wooden logs with dangling hands replacing the big trees.
The tree could not bear the silence .He wrings his ears in attention but greeted by silence and loneliness. He keeps standing there hoping to meet her. Days passes into months, weeping for his missing heart stands like a rock on the beach being thrashed by surge of emotion.

"Testing times (unfolding thrills) call for retrospection of things happened and for introspection of things that intend to happen!" – Venkata Mujje

The dark and cold period is over:

The deafening silence of the spring is cracked open by the melody of the chirping bird .The tree shudders with delight dropping the dew drops dangling on the tips of leaves. He rubbed his eyes, she is flying towards him .She lands on a branch close to his face with a slight peck on his nose. Lo!  He is transformed into a handsome ‘painted bunting’ kissing her pink throated fur. Dancing, diving and chirping like fiends both winnow in the breeze of the mating season. Here comes the spring sprying!!

"Abe Saaley Vuto  Iam leaving for class!" ,yelled one of my roommates,"lock the door!". Pressing my puffed eyelids, i reluctantly open my eyes from a beautiful muse. Haa theek hai ! You go! I dream for a while !. The Other roomate  gurgles-"Lucky dude you dont have any 8.30 am McConnel class". I smiled and snuggled into the  warmth of my musings.

P.S: The most complex of human sciences is not rocket science but it is science of human behavior. It amazes me every single day at work place (here study place) to notice and be part of this what I call –group learning curve. Similarly, my personal journey has been so far the most fulfilling for me filled with the blessings of parents, the warmth of my dear friends /family and the unconditional love of/for that special oneJ
