THE ETERNAL ELUDING QUESTION

Is it success? Gratification of the self? , pride, love or mere craving for pleasure? Ideals? What not?-a sudden flood of questions and possible answers. But no real solution or a perfect answer for the ever eluding question. Really?-just let us dive deeper as the pearls are found deep in the ocean.

Yes, No wonder there is an answer but where to look for; Thyself Oh! God what is this ‘Self-knowledge’-knowing of the self (only God knows!). The key is: knowing why you as an individual behaves in a certain way, acts in a unique fashion of your own, identify yourself with certain qualities that are inherent. Knowing yourself is necessary but not sufficient condition to SelfKnowledge; we say we are aware of our inherent nature but can’t answer the unexpected question-WHY? (Why am I so?).

Is it so complex a thing or it a mental make-up by years of conditioning is the cause for this slumber? Why don’t we enquire into that completely? But instead get hoodwinked by our own prejudice and lack of heart (courage), get swayed by excuses, petty mind, and simply stick to a pattern fearing to stick our neck out.
The real impediment to the process is where does one is supposed to start over? This is the recurring trouble in the mind of a true ‘Sadhaka’-Yearner of truth.

What shapes a man’s destiny? One’s Will? Or HIS (god’s) Will? My conviction prompts me that ‘one’s will is the will of the God that which is truly reciprocating in nature’. But the crux of the problem is -No matter whatever you do in search or succeed in fulfilling your calling, this can neither satisfy you nor vanquish the desperation to meet your end. Because the moment you feel you have reached your end, there rises a new thought and new goal, new ambition, new means to meet the end………This goes on and on. We wish the MEANS could reach the END-Which is the totality of our action and end of the thought (That is what not happening!).

So there must be something that eludes the mankind. Through centuries man has been living for a while on this beautiful Earth but not found a solution to this extraordinary problem of this magnitude and importance though appearing simple at face value.

Has he chalked out any time to inquire? He comes plays a role, finally vanishes; generations are passed; civilizations go to dust. But mark you, the Earth has not changed her axis for the man. The poor man in squeezing out every drop of orange he comes across has thoroughly made everything complex by inventing technology, warfare and utterly insipid nationalism—drawing boundaries and marginalizing his own fellas-only deluding himself.

The end result is complete resentment and ignorance of his own existence. He does not know the true purpose of his own life. Follows a pattern, emulates the uncles and aunts, pampers the senses and feels that he has achieved his ambition at a point in time, feeling successful and gratified. But only till he dies. At that moment of death leaves the body with utter disillusionment and despair.

The question remains what is ones’ purpose in life? Why are we born as we are? What are our emotions for? Let me inquire myself?

My dear friends mark me, this is a never ending search, it goes on and on…………….
