Love- the spate that never abates

Oh my love! I miss you dear in these fateful hours,
Waiting every moment in throes of agony.
My soul is wringed- dripping happy tears
Wish I had a dove as an emissary( to convey).

I cry everyday in sweet joy of pain,
Ready to spry thousand miles just to capture your smile
& Die hundred times just to embrace you for a while.
OMG! Iam fettered forever in this terrible chain.

Hearing your voice lifts my spirit,
Just like a yoga session, which fills my chest
With certitude that contains a dynamite
Stop dilly-dallies showing some respite.

In my dream, I open my eyes
Lying beside on a beach full of sweat
I hear nothing but a single heart beat,
At that moment, my pulse throbs & races to the skies.

I lean forward caressing the tresses.
Bemused by the sparkle in the eyes,
I try to kiss the glistening forehead.
Lo! pillow, I yank my head in dread

Oh dear missing you at this deadly hour,
Passions run without any cover.
Iam getting ‘long in the tooth’ in this youth
Forgive my naivety for uncouth.

Spread the fragrance of sooth love,
& save my soul from banishing to hell,
as there is no time to kewl.
I wonder my dear, love begets love?

Note- Dedicated to my imaginary gf.

I believe love is an inescapable phase of one’s life. Almost all of you experienced this and called it love. Yet, I agree with the philosopher who said” love is the filthiest thing on earth”. As rightly said relationship is based on what ones get  out of it – a simple give and take. But we don’t accept the truth as it is terrifying pulling the earth beneath our legs.

I think the word love has been battered so many times that we don’t know what exactly is it. All most all the movies revolve around this thing potraying either  so called pure  love between hero & heroine or emotional crap of a family drama.
But we love to watch them, adore and emulate. So I guess IT does serve some social purpose as does the concept of God, which sprang from its source- Fear. God do serve the purpose of maintaining some speck of sanity in our insane mind.
Therefore, love is nothing but to have relationship for mutual gratification. We search for beautiful, harmonious and perfect love. The idea of perfectness doesnot exists at all and this creates conflict.

The search is never ending .As nocturnal bees that are attracted to the light of the fire & killed eventually; we search in vain and end in despair.
I hope instead that we rise like a phoenix and love thyself.

  1. A perfect poem and a equally perfect ending! There's another quote that I get reminded of: "There's no difference between a wise man and a fool when they are fall in love." :D

    1. I just penned my true feelings. As people say - "poem just flows - no need to think ,when the emotional ocean floods"

Well said Tarun. No one can escape that phase in life.If one doesnot agree he is definitely lying.
